Burton Cummings had a pretty bad car accident last month in LA and he’s still trying to get over the psychological aspect of it. He says he relives the accident when he sleeps and although doesn’t like the idea of going to a therapist, he says he’ll go willingly if it will help. Burton will get a SOCAN Lifetime achievement award this month.
He was honoured by Billy Joel and introduced by Robert DeNiro, then played “My Home Town” Unfortunately the You Tube video of his performance isn’t available in Canada but Doug & Wendy played a clip of the audio this morning on 99.3 The Drive.
Mick Fleetwood says former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Danny Kirwan “will forever live on in the music he wrote and played so beautifully as part of the foundation of Fleetwood Mac.” Danny Kirwan was only 68 when he passed away Friday in London. Kirwan played in Fleetwood Mac when they were still a blues band from 1968 to 1972 and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the rest of Fleetwood Mac in 1998.
