The documentary “David Bowie: The Last Five Years” documents debuts January 8th. It covers the last five years of Bowie’s life (duh). In the first teaser you see classic footage of Bowie and interviews with the people he worked with. Bowie says (and hopefully the kids will forget this by summertime,) “Always go a little further into the water than you feel you’re capable of being in and when you don’t feel that your feet are quite touching the bottom,” “you’re just about in the right place to do something exciting.” Check out the the clip for “The Last Five Years” below.
Remember that auction of Neil Young‘s toy trains and other things Doug & Wendy were talking about. The trains went for almost $300,000. One hand painted locomotive went for $10,000. One of his ‘not a toy’ cars, a 1953 Buick code 76X Roadmaster Skylark convertible, engraved with “Customized for Neil Young,” went for $400-thousand. Part of the proceeds of the auction went to his Bridge School charity. It’s a charity that does similar work to our own Child Development Centre here in Prince George.
