Prince George Sets New World Record

Prince George Sets New World Record!

The citizens of Prince George are now the proud holders a new Guinness World Record!  On Sunday, May 17th, 2009, 797 residents of Prince George descended on Masich Place Stadium, crushing the former record for “the greatest number of people wearing red noses in a single venue”.  This record was set on the final day of the Child Development Centre’s Clowning for Kids event.  Darrell Roze, the Executive Director of the Child Development Centre, is delighted with the record, “it was a tremendous demonstration of community spirit.  Not only did we set a new Guiness world record, the event raised over $10,000.00 to purchase much needed equipment and supplies to support therapeutic services for children with special needs.”  A huge Thank-You goes out to the sponsors, all media, volunteers and citizens for all their support for the kids. Well done Prince George!
